1. Using the service
You may use Zio only for lawful business activity and in accordance with these terms, the product controls available to your workspace, and the terms that apply to connected third-party services.
The person creating a workspace represents that they are authorized to create and administer it for the relevant business or organization.
2. Accounts and team access
Each user should use their own account. Workspace owners and admins control team invitations, roles and workspace access and are responsible for removing access when a person should no longer use the workspace.
Users are responsible for keeping passwords, devices and login sessions secure and for promptly reporting suspected unauthorized access.
3. Trial and pilot access
The current service can provide a limited free trial that begins when a workspace is created. Trial duration shown in the product applies to that workspace unless otherwise agreed during the pilot.
Payment is not required to create the current trial workspace. Paid activation, pricing, billing method and commercial terms may be agreed or enabled separately until the production payment flow is activated.
Pilot functionality, limits and availability may change as Zio is tested and improved.
4. WhatsApp and third-party services
Zio can connect supported WhatsApp sessions through linked-device functionality. WhatsApp is a third-party service that Zio does not control.
Your use of WhatsApp remains subject to WhatsApp or Meta terms, policies, account restrictions and technical availability. Zio does not guarantee that a third-party account, session or API will always remain available.
You are responsible for having the rights and permissions needed to contact customers and process their information through connected services.
5. Customer data and content
You retain responsibility for the business data and conversation content your workspace submits to or handles through Zio.
You grant Zio the limited permission needed to host, process, transmit, back up and display that data solely to operate, secure and support the service.
You must not use Zio to send unlawful, deceptive, abusive or unauthorized communications, or to process information you are not permitted to use.
6. Acceptable use
Do not attempt to bypass workspace isolation, access another customer workspace, probe or disrupt the service, introduce malicious code, abuse rate limits, or use Zio to facilitate illegal activity.
Zio may restrict or suspend access when reasonably necessary to protect the service, users, connected systems or third parties, or to respond to a serious violation of these terms.
7. Availability and changes
Zio aims to provide a reliable service, but the current pilot is provided without a guaranteed service-level commitment unless a separate written agreement states otherwise.
Features may be added, changed or removed as the product develops. Where practical, material changes affecting normal workspace use will be communicated through the product or support channel.
8. Backups and continuity
Zio may maintain operational backups and recovery procedures, but users remain responsible for any separate records their business is legally or operationally required to keep.
No backup or online service can guarantee that every event or message can always be recovered after an external provider failure, user action or exceptional incident.
9. Suspension and termination
A workspace owner can request closure through Zio support. Access may also end when a trial expires, when agreed service terms end, or when access is suspended for security or serious misuse.
After closure, workspace data may remain temporarily in operational records or backups as described in the Privacy Policy and as reasonably necessary for security or legal obligations.
10. Responsibility and liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Zio is not responsible for losses caused solely by third-party outages, WhatsApp account restrictions, customer misuse, unauthorized account access outside Zio control, or events that cannot reasonably be prevented.
Nothing in these terms excludes rights or responsibilities that cannot legally be excluded. Any separate signed commercial agreement with a customer can add to or override these general terms where it expressly says so.
11. Changes to these terms
Zio may update these terms as the service and commercial model develop. The current version and effective date will be published on this page.
